The controller has several safety forms. These include integrated inverters, yaw control, resistive load, SSRs and power parking. The new ReDriven wind turbine has two internal brakes and downwind properties for safety. Remote diagnostics and programmability further enhance these features. The intelligent controller includes cable wind-up protection features along with a programmable maintenance schedule.

The controller is housed in an aesthetically pleasing secure cabinet, with easy-to-use touch screen controls and quiet operation. Power consumption from the controller is limited to approximately ½ watt.
