COMPANY PROFILE
Innovative Energy Solutions was founded in 2007 by Alan Edwards who has an honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering along with vast experience in the computer industry. Richard Foster has taken up the role as installation manager and is recognised for his skill and knowledge in electronic & electrical engineering.
Innovative Energy Solutions has experience of installing & maintaining active upwind turbines throughout Europe. The reason for utilising a newer type of wind turbine was mainly because the previous turbines did not give the required production of units (kW/h) that would justify the expenditure entailed. Europe does have reasonable wind speeds, on average around 7m/s on our sites, however, many of the previous wind turbine generators were producing only small amounts at these speeds.
In 2008 Innovative Energy Solutions began to utilise control systems from ReDriven Power Inc in Canada. Their controller was a vast improvement on similar products on the market and their first installation in Europe was done at our site. As the local wind conditions in Ireland are very gusty, several controller software improvements for local conditions were requested and they were duly provided. A firm friendship, trust, and team spirit was built up between both companies and over time this respect has deepened.
When ReDriven informed us of their plans to re-engineer a new & improved turbine, Innovative Energy Solutions was extremely happy to handle the European distribution of this new system on their behalf.
